Stories of the Prophet ﷺ

From the teachings of Mawlana Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi (QS), there are many beautiful stories about the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that inspire hearts and souls. One such story is about the Prophet’s Night of Ascension (Isra and Mi’raj).

During the Night of Ascension, the Prophet ﷺ reached the Holy Throne and wanted to take off his sandals. When questioned by Allah (AJ) about this action, the Prophet ﷺ expressed his fear of being dismissed or turned away, similar to Prophet Musa (as). However, Allah (AJ) reassured the Prophet ﷺ that he was the chosen one, the beloved of Allah, and that his nation was the focus of His mercy.

The Prophet ﷺ, in his humility and love for his nation, requested Allah’s mercy for his Ummah, showing his selflessness and compassion. Allah (AJ) promised to divide the judgment day between Himself and the Prophet ﷺ, with the Prophet saying “My nation, my nation,” and Allah responding “My Mercy, My Mercy.”

This story reflects the immense love, compassion, and selflessness of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ towards his Ummah, highlighting his role as a mercy to the worlds. It teaches us the importance of selflessness, compassion, and seeking mercy for others, following the noble example of the Prophet ﷺ.

May we all strive to embody the beautiful character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, seeking mercy and compassion for ourselves and others. Ameen.
